About Us

Chairscape is an emerged BEE company, which opened it’s doors on 1st June, 2005.

It’s vision is to supply top quality, in vogue equipment to the special events industry, in South Africa. It’s clients are premiere event planners, convention centers, caterers, major corporates, banks and the likes, who are possessed and fastidious about rental or outright procurement, and seek inordinately, tasteful in style, unblemished equipment of the highest quality, at respectable prices.

Chairscape's mission is to stay ahead of the wave, by being in continuous consultation with our overseas principals, state of the art suppliers, who keep us abreast of design developments at all times.

Of parallel importance is the ethos that customer service is not only a culture, it is a make or break issue! Chairscape wants to forge strong customer relationships, that will ensure word of mouth endorsements. Our customer base will at all times be regarded as our strongest asset.

BEE Chairscape is an emerged BEE company in the true sense of the word. Every effort will be made in terms of :

i. Training and development of black staff
ii. Preferential procurement policies in terms of favouring local BEE suppliers
iii. Joint venturing with BEE partners in order to secure tenders requiring comprehensive merchandising
iv. Making every effort to exceed sector proportional representations in terms of employment in the industry demographics.

Black owned shareholding in the company is commenced at 25%, which is wholly indicative of the good faith intended in this arena.

Although we are a specialist operation, through our cooperation pacts with a variety of other full service hirers, our top flight consultants will gladly assist in both your planning and coordinating full functions, where there is a need, by either referring you to the best possible source available, or by doing the service for you.

Hire or Buy

A further facet to Chairscape is it’s ability to offer you an alternate to hiring/rental, of any product you access in it’s range. Not only in it’s range, but way beyond. This is because Chairscape has negotiated agency rights, Africa wide, from all it’s overseas suppliers. Prices are available on enquiry, as are colour options, and material finishes, which are vast and comprehensive.

Most lines are imported from Italy, America and Asia. Chairscape will arrange the full importation to your door. It’s suppliers are willing and able to deliver at short notice anywhere world wide. Innovation

The thrust and mission of Chairscape, has been prior to formation, to make entry into the rental market, with product that will captivate imaginations.

The main area of concentration is in the chair and table arenas. Care has been strenuously exercised, well prior to opening, in sourcing and acquiring fine quality European styled lines, which in the end cover a spectrum of ranges, to suit all tastes, occasions and most importantly, budgets.

All our product is brand new, unblemished and in the highest quality finishes. There is no need for chair covers, or even table cloths, where the hiding of tardy equipment sometimes makes this imperative, at great extra cost to the client.

It will be our mission to retain stock in an impeccable condition, by replacing it on an ongoing basis, to ensure that our clientele suffer no embarrassment, often caused by the delivery of over used equipment, which happens to command the same price as does premium equipment. This is because, particularly in high seasons, demand so far outstrips supply, resulting in the consumer having to take whatever he can find or get! No names mentioned, but this practice is prevalent, due to the inadequate supply chains that exist. We will make every attempt to become the stop gap in these malpractices. Our equipment will at all times be impeccably maintained.

This type of good practice prevails in the car hire industry…….we intend introducing it to the function hire industry. If you want scratched, tatty, and even rusted chairs, then demand paying half, or at least an appropriately lower hire rate. Why tolerate poor service? You may have had to, up until now. We aim at bringing you this new facet, through the function hire industry. No longer accept second rate equipment, and pay first rate prices, just because demand exceeds supply. Specialisation

The emergence of this operation has emanated through locating a previously unrecognized niche in the rental market. Many hirers supply the categories carried by Chairscape. They certainly do. The difference is that Chairscape intends becoming the leading rental operation in it’s niche marketplace. It will specialize in supplying premium stock lines, in all categories it deals in, particularly chairs.....and then tables, in new and spotless condition, in unprecedented quality, textures and hues.

The trend in South Africa is and has always been, that rental/ hiring companies strive to be jacks of all trades. They all want to and do supply almost anything and everything. The difficulty with this philosophy is that variety becomes non existent. Being a capital intensive industry, few, if any, can afford the range diversity really needed within categories, that clientele really want. Very few make any attempt to specialize. Rather than cover one or two categories comprehensively, they attempt to cover all categories sparsely. Take chairs as an example. You can acquire the conventional white armless plastic chair, from almost any one of them. Anything more exotic becomes a tall order! If you find it, they are dilapidated, colour uniformity is in small quantities only, and for what they are the price demanded is out of kilter with the state of the equipment. Chairscape has chosen to pick up the baton at this juncture and run with it. Specialization. The affiliations we have made with our overseas suppliers, based in Europe, the USA and Asia, and the access to their continuously updated designs and workshops, will surely provide adequate expertise to become market leaders in the supply channels we are specializing in.
